Post Easter Breakouts

Post Easter Breakouts

Yes, puberty was a weird time. Your skin was bumpy, oily and greasy shiny, your teeth were too big for your mouth and your hair was all over the place. But you got over that. With time, you learned what worked for your skin, what helped with your hair and thank heavens for braces! And now you are all grown up, you look like a normal human being and you can really see your natural beauty - and your skin is so radiant!

But then there was Easter and you couldn't fight the temptations and you realized you only live once, so you went for the chocolate eggs. And now your skin is showing you how wrong your taste buds were.

Yeah, we know there is no conclusive data to prove that chocolate causes breakouts, but we can feel how the greasy and sugary foods affect our skin.

If your skin feels bumpy and you feel down, don't worry. We have gathered some home remedies which can help you.

1.  Salt and warm water: my grandma used to say this is the cure to everything. As a gargle for sore throats, mouth ulcers (ouch, I know) and coughs, and for pimples, try this: 1 cup of warm water + ½ cup salt. Soak a cotton ball in this mixture and then press it onto the zit. Be patient, and after 5-10 minutes, get two tissues and gently squeeze the pimple.

2.  Cucumber: cucumbers are a great natural anti-inflammatory; apply grated cucumber bits onto your skin after you've squeezed the zits. It will help with healing and will prevent the skin tissue from scarring.

3.   Citrus paste: mix some orange and lemon peel bits with water, and then add honey and flour to make a thick paste. Apply to your face - or any areas of your body where you may find pimples -, leave on for 10 minutes and rinse.

If you don't want to go through all of that effort, there are still some great natural ways you can fight breakouts, no need for harsh chemicals. Only Natural Organics has a great range of natural products for skincare, try their Blemish Control Serum or their Spot On Pimple Control clay.
